The aim of the project:
A number of churches and organisations such as The Basement Project, Halifax Parish Church and of course our own Church, Lee Mount Baptist Church. They are working in partnership to provide a
weekly drop in point for food & support to the homeless people of Calderdale.
The aim of the project is to enable vulnerable people who have a 'chaotic lifestyle' to access a drop in on a weekly basic and collect a free food parcel and gain support
and guidance to enable them to move on from their current situation. This will involve the drop in team supporting them by prayer. There is a dedicated prayer team for this which are always happy to
help. This will include the following people:
- People who are experience homelessness.
- Destitute asylum seekers.
- People who suffer from substance misuse.
- Clients and people suffering extreme hardship.
Nature of the project:
Continuation of food supply and appropriate necessities such as personal hygiene items and food which can be easily stored and are necessary to meet basic needs/standard of
living.
